Here are some Wild Wood Activities events which YOU can be part of in the coming months.

Forest School Taster days- only £30 per person!

Wild Wood Activities is offering you the fantastic opportunity to come and experience the ethos behind Forest Schools and woodland play in a wonderful woodland setting. Come prepared to be inspired!

When and where?

Thursday 13th May at Manor Farm (Matlock)

Thursday 10th June at Frith wood, Dronfield

Friday 24th September at Linacre Reservoirs, Chesterfield

Wild Wood Activities Outdoor and Woodland Play Skills training (equivalent to Forest School level 2):

Do you want to run your own low level Forest School activities or get new ideas for engaging a group outdoors? Or perhaps you would like to improve your skills to support a qualified Forest School leader? If you have said ‘yes’ to either of these, then this three day training is for you!

When and where?

Training A5: 23rd– 25th June training at Grinlow woods, Buxton

(assessment 30th September, time 9.30-12.30)

Training A6: 21st, 28th September and 5th October at Manor Farm, Matlock (assessment 2nd November, time:12.30-15.30)

Cost: £275 per person

Firelighting and Denbuilding in the Wild woods!- £50 per person

This is for anyone already involved in Forest Schools (either level 2 or 3) and outdoor play who would like to improve and practise their skills and maybe take their firelighting and den building a little bit further. It promises to be a fun and enlightening day with lots of nettle soup!

Tuesday 25th May Grinlow woods, Buxton

Tuesday 22nd June Apperknowle wood, Dronfield

Thursday 21st October Foxstone wood, Eckington

Wild Storytelling and craft in the woods- £50 per person

Experience woodland folklore and myth up close and personal and gain confidence in storytelling and prop making using natural resources. Weave magic as well as willow and take away lots of ideas for your setting. You will be provided with ideas for full sessions with your groups and will be shown simple techniques and ideas for ‘hands on’ storytelling appropriate for a range of ages.

June 15th Apperknowle wood, Dronfield

Thursday July 8th Foxstone wood, Eckington

Friday 1st October (venue tbc)
