Wild Wood Activities First Aid Training

This ITC (16 hour) Outdoor First Aid course is an Outdoor First Aid Qualification with an element of paediatric first aid built in to it. Course content includes child CPR, drowning, child choking and childrens illnesses (asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, anaphalaxis). This course is suitable for Forest School practitioners, outdoor instructors, Duke of Edinburgh Award leaders, participants, teachers and outdoor enthusiasts. Course contents covers first aid course validation of NGB awards – MLTB (ML,WGLA, BELA, SPA, MIA, MIC), BAIML, BCU, RYA, NNAS, BOF).

Our 2 day course covers Guidance on current best practice and awareness of relevant legislation A systematic approach to incident management in the outdoors Resuscitation procedures (including choking) Unconsciousness (causes and treatment) External bleeding, internal bleeding and shock Injury management in an outdoors environment Illness recognition and management Managing heat and cold problems Incident management scenarios

Dates: 19th and 20th April 2012 Time: 9-6pm Venue: Upper Wincobank Chapel, Wincobank Avenue, Sheffield S5 6BB and Wincobank Hill (woodland area).

Price £125 per person

20% discount for participants who book their Forest School Level 3 or level 2 practitioner qualification with Wild Wood Activities (making it £100)
