Forest School Skills Practice opportunity 20th September 2014 10-3.30pm Ambergate, Derbyshire

8 09 2014

Offered by Wildwood Activities

Do you want to practice using the Kelly kettle, putting up a hammock, lighting a fire and keeping it lit, putting up a tarp, using tools…..what are the two methods of the clove hitch? Would you like to chat with others who love Forest School and have a good opportunity to network? Then this session is for you!

Lauren Stevens from Wild Wood Activities will be at Shining cliff wood near Ambergate in Derbyshire where I will have equipment which you can use or you can bring your own to practice with (make sure you lable it-we cannot take responsibility for kit mix ups/ losses etc). Shining cliff is a wonderful site with lots of space for you to play! You are welcome to stay for all or part of the time, it is up to you. There will not be any formal training but I will be there to support/ answer questions etc.

This is suitable for anyone who has accessed Level 2 and Level 3 Forest School training. You will need to bring lunch and drinking water. If you plan to heat water up on your fire, that’s fine but you must really boil it or bring water in to use, same for Kelly kettles- if you intend to use a Kelly kettle, I recommend you bring in a couple of litres of water.

Cost: £25 per person. To book your place, please contact me either by email or phone 07735 389804. To confirm your place, please complete and return the booking form with payment. Booking is essential.
